Multi-platinum selling artist Katy Perry had broken up with John Mayer, again. These celebrity couples have broken up and gotten back together for so many times already, making it like a 'habit' for them. Their latest breakup was known through Twitter, when both Perry and Mayer wrote cryptic messages.

Katy Perry and John Mayer had a fun time during the Fourth of July celebration and at the Soldier Field when the Grateful Dead had a farewell concert, according to Christian Today. However, the couple breaks up again, like for the nth time already.

John Mayer expressed his grief over the matter by posting on Twitter saying "I wouldn't feel right posting anything else before saying my heart hurts today," Inquisitr reported. On the other hand, Katy Perry also tweeted a cryptic message "The bad news: there is no key to the universe. The good news: it was never locked."

There are no confirmed details yet as to why the two singers have broken up again.

Sources however say that one of the reasons the couples called it quits is because John Mayer was jealous of Katy Perry's success in the industry. "The fact that he does not have anything major going on with his career is really starting to take a toll on their relationship. Katy is at an all-time high. She is starting to give in to what everyone around her is saying, that maybe she is too good for him," an insider said.

This was the second time this year that Mayer and Perry's relationship gone cold, according to Hollywood Life. Their first was on March, where the reason was Katy's 'trust issues' and that 'John couldn't handle the lack of attention she was giving him.'

Distance was also an issue for both couples as Katy had been touring around the world for her album promotion and concerts, which John could not handle anymore.
