Android 5.1.1 Lollipop continues to push the update for Samsung Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5, and some other tablet variants.

One month before Galaxy Note 5 gets launched, Samsung is preparing the way for Galaxy owners to revamp various Samsung devices' operating system with the latest and perhaps final Lollipop update Android 5.1.1.

First released last May, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will be the jumpstart point for Google before transitioning to Android M. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update brings in fixes on several bug issues and a good number of enhancements.

Although still not made available through over-the-air (OTA) for some, Samsung has already laid out what is to come for Galaxy phones and tablets since the update will be "important." Even if there is no official announcement yet, some galaxy owners have experienced already the latest Lollipop firmware update via other means, including the initiative of mobile carriers.

For Samsung Galaxy S6, Android 5.1.1 update has been the most progressive in the US when Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular pioneered the installation. Verizon Wireless and AT&T have not announced yet when their version will get dressed. Nevertheless, the update for the last two carriers would not take that long due to a tight competition and a clamor from owners.

In Canada, the update is still scenting to hit carriers while in Australia, mobile carrier Optus has already started pushing the installation and Vodafone says they are releasing the update very soon since test has been completed.

For Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the latest Lollipop update has already been initially released as well in the US. Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular already rolled out the update to their phone versions while Verizon Wireless and AT&T remained stuck with Android 5.1.

In Canada, the update is almost starting, while Optus and Vodafone down under are pushing the update also soon.

For Samsung Galaxy Note 4, rumor has it that Russian carriers have already been running Android 5.1.1. However, there is not any information as of now whether or not the update has really come out.

For Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update in the US is under way which started by Sprint last week.

For Samsung Galaxy 5, the update is currently rolling out to T-Mobile versions in the US. While in France, carrier SFR has already announced the Android 5.1.1 is coming soon but the date has not been market out yet.

Galaxy S6 Duos in the US has started to experience the Android 5.1.1 update as well as various Galaxy tablets including Galaxy Tab 8.0 in South Korea.
