The first half of 'Outlander' Season 2 will be completely different. Author Diana Gabaldon teases in recent interviews regarding the big changes in the upcoming season. While fans don't know Black Jack's fate, stars Sam Heughan and Cairtiona Balfe gave some details.

Things will be entirely different during the first half of 'Outlander' Season 2. Jamie and wife Claire travel to Scotland and France and there will let them meet several people that could drastically affect their lives as couple, and the course of history.

Franchise Herald reports that European actors and actresses are enlisted for the second season of 'Outlander'. In fact, directors of the show were finicky about the season's casting. They were keen to find artists who not only suit physically but also in accent.

In a recent interview with Zap2it, 'Outlander' author Diana Gabaldon is excited to reveal Frances de la Tour's Mother Hildegarde.

"Probably Mother Hildegard because she's very familiar to all of the book readers and all they already love her to start with, so they'll be especially excited to see her and to see how well she's brought to the scene." Gabaldon adds, "She's just fabulous."

Furthermore, the new casting is part of the first half of the second season, which is told to be very different.

"It'll look and feel completely different," Moore explained. "There were no sets or costumes or props or anything from the first season that we could use for the beginning of the second, so we really had to rebuild the show. You will be watching a different 'Outlander' than what you saw in Season 1. Eventually it does return to Scotland and gets involved in the war and so on. The first half is this completely new show."

Meanwhile, 'Outlander' Season 2, Tobias Menzies will play Frank again, which will be beneficial for his co-stars Sam Heughan (Jamie) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire), according to Movie News Guide.

During the SDCC 2015, Heughan said, "I mean, he's such a nicer man as Frank, isn't he?" While Balfe said, "It was great to play some of that Frank and Claire stuff again. I always enjoy it. It's just very different. It's a very different relationship than Claire and Jamie have, and it was great scenes. It's nice not to be around the perilous Black Jack Randall, for sure."

Starz's TV series will premiere some time in 2016. What are your thoughts on 'Outlander' Season 2?
