After much speculation for a 'Big Hero 6' sequel, it is now bound to hit the big screen. 'Big Hero 6' was such a massive success that this eventually lead to talks about the possibility of a follow-up. The movie was based on an obscure Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name and became the first to feature a Disney-Marvel Partnership.

There is no release date as of the moment as Walt Disney Studios, the film's production company, is still keeping details under wraps. However, possible plot lines have been dropped including one involving the return of Tadashi.

According to the Toronto Sun, Marvel's Stan Lee dropped some hints on the upcoming new project in an interview last April. He said, "After Ant-Man, we're going to start playing around with Doctor Strange, the Black Panther, the Inhumans, and then we have to come back for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Big Hero 6, the Avengers, Captain America... I don't even know how they decide what to do next, because every one of them is so exciting and the public is waiting for them."

Tadashi's return to the story is one of the most popular theories surrounding 'Big Hero 6'.sequel according to Movie Pilot's Jon Negroni, Tadashi will most likely return as an antagonist called Sunfire, a prominent fire-resistant character in the Marvel universe.

This all seems to be enough of an interesting concept to get the ball rolling on the new project. Fans may soon be hearing of new developments. In a report by Creative Screenwriting, the directing team of Don Hall and Chris Williams stressed on the need of a good story for a possible sequel to happen. Hall said, "John Lasseter's [Chief Creative Officer] very supportive of the directors, and he won't force them to put out a sequel unless they have a story that really excited about. It has to feel like a story that really has to be told, or deserves to be told. It can't just be cashing in on the success of a previous film."

'Big Hero 6' sequel is said to premiere on 2017. Its predecessor, 'Big Hero 6' was an instant hit at the box office pulling in $652 millon worldwide (according to Box Office Mojo) as well as procuring an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
