Final Fantasy 7 remake will be making its way to Sony Play Station 4 consoles after developer Square Enix have announced it on the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Tetsuya Nomura put an end to fan speculations and states that there will be definite "changes" in the upcoming game.

After the announcement of its release in the E3, fans have always been anticipating its updates, improvements, and compatibilities. Crossmap reports that during the expo, Square Enix's statement; "Play it first on Play Station 4," suggested its compatibility with other platforms. Since then, fans have interpreted it to be the franchise's hint that it will be playable with other game consoles. Such claim was even fuelled by a recent upload of the Final Fantasy 7 remake on Xbox One pre-orders.

However, during a forum for the Kingdom Hearts, EB Games Australia confirmed that the game remake will be available on Xbox One but reiterated that it has been released for the Play Station 4 at the moment. Whilst there is the celebrated awaiting, curiosity and speculations arise among fans regarding whether or not there will be changes in the storyline, retaining or removal of characters, or additional plots. To end the hysteric concern, game director Tetsuya Nomura stated that there will be "changes", but assured that such "changes" will be those of what fans are hoping for.

Ecumenical News suggests that such momentary exclusivity of the game to PS4 may be a move of Square Enix to raise the sales for the console. It was hinted by Nomura's statement that the developers chose the E3 as the venue for the remake's announcement for they have unveiled a handful games available on PS4, and what they want is to "give something that would make them [the gamers] happy - open them up, perhaps, to buying PS4." Such statement suggests the developers' confidence that the fan anticipation for the game may induce them to buying a console which makes the fantasy game playable, which makes sense due to the fact that Sony was the one who enabled the Final Fantasy franchise to debut in to the gaming world.

However, more recent reports imply that the game will also be playable with Xbox One. Christian Today reported that it will most likely be playable with Xbox One at some point as EB Games Australia assured a fan through Facebook which assured that though it was announced to be released for PS4, it will be made compatible with the existing Microsoft console.

While there is no official announcement with regards to its release date, Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 remake is sure to make its way to Play Station 4 consoles.
