As acclaimed GTA 5 game developer, Rockstar Games, has confirmed the upcoming release of Red Dead Redemption 2, heaps of rumors have continued to build online. Although, the very one question that still stands until now is when exactly the fans can hear official gameplay and release details from Rockstar Games after it had skipped E3 event last June.

According to Segment Next, it is likely that Rockstar Games will be making an appearance at GamesCom 2015 this August, the best platform next to E3 in launching an AAA project.

Back in late May, Express Co.UK reported that the developer was prepping up to unveil a new open world project this year that will integrate a revamped multiplayer feature. This recent reveal pertaining to the imminent release of Red Dead Redemption 2 came to light when Rockstar Games based in San Diego posted a set of new job listings.

This includes a networking programmer position with some wide specialization skills particularly on gameplay mechanics pertinent to an open world title and who shall be responsible for the dynamic multiplayer integration into all areas of gameplay in complex open world environment. In addition, the candidate must be capable of 'creating the illusion of densely populated worlds' and 'enhancing existing graphics technologies to help achieve state-of-the-art visuals.'

In earlier news, a senior developer at Rockstar Games named Feinstein is purported to claim that the development of Red Dead Redemption 2 has already started, although, the name for the next title in the game series is not yet known.

Also, a redditor known online as AnonDN1978 and claimed to be a former member of the Rockstar development team shared that the next installment will be titled 'Red Dead Redemption: Legends of the West, a prequel, and is currently on its 4th year of development.

But there's more as the leakster added that the game is set twelve years before the events of the original title and will feature three playable characters, two from the original game, Irish & Seth, and the third is an entirely new protagonist.

It is said that this character will be available in single player and would appear in campaign instead of being in missions. Furthermore, this new game hero will be a gun for hire who will become a partner to NPC Seth and Irish (like other characters). A new corridor system is also said to be a major feature in the game that will allow players to connect to various gangs or take the right side of the law.

The highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 has been rife with rumors since the first title was launched five years ago and game pundits think it's the right time frame that Rockstar Games could be possibly making announcements on the release of the next title in the series. GamesCom, perhaps?
