In the spirit of Comic Con, Futurama will be coming back to people's lives in the form of a mobile game. Futurama is regarded as one of the greatest animated series of all time, and fans have no doubt been wanting for a comeback of the epic show. A Futurama game app may hit mobile platform anytime soon.

Polygon reports the source comes from a post on the animated series' Facebook page.  Futurama's official Facebook page doesn't give out much detail or information on the game's developments. No mention of game developers or platforms that the game will eventually support. Only that the game is coming soon. The announcement was accompanied by an image of an impassioned Bender looking like he's waging war on some unidentified species. The caption below him "release the drones" in capital letters is cryptic. Will it be a strategy game? An MMO? We don't really know yet.

The complete post reads as follows:

"Good news, everyone! A Futurama mobile game is on the way! Get ready for shiny robots, evil forces and new adventures...register here to find out more!"

Gamespot gives us a heads-up on spotting the teaser website.  The link takes you to a website where you're greeted with the same impassioned Bender, but below him is a clear declaration that Futurama is indeed in development. You can go ahead and register for a subscription to news and updates on the game's development.  This is perhaps the closest thing fans would be getting to an animated series revival. Still, it wouln't hurt to be in the know, especially since Futurama is indeed an animated gem in an ocean of TV programs.

The Futurama Teaser Website is not much, but it sure does the job of teasing Futurama fans. For those that need a Futurama fix, full episodes of the series can be found on Comedy Central's official Futurama page. You can watch video clips of the animated series, even full episodes being available, provided you've registered and signed in, although a quick search on the internet would get you the same results. A little review of classic episodes of Futurama never did hurt anyone. Not much anyway.

The new Futurama mobile game is still in development. No information has been released on the game's developers or publishers, on that the game will be coming soon. Stay tuned for news and updates.
