Even though the production of the upcoming live-action adaptation of "Aquaman" has not commenced yet, it still manages to steal the spotlight from time to time, thanks to the film's straightforward front man, Jason Momoa. Recently, the project has made it to the top news again after the actor spoke about the controversial "F Marvel" incident, saying that the issue was just taken out of proportion.

It was noted that March this year,  "Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa has drew criticisms from a lot of comic book fans after his controversial comments on Marvel. As per Inquisitr's report, the incident unfolded at the Indiana Comic Con where the actor was present for a "Game of Thrones" panel. By then, the Hawaiian actor was only recently confirmed to play the role of the sea-dwelling superhero in DC's live-action take on "Aquaman".

According to the site, he was allegedly approached by a fan who asked not only to sign a poster of the upcoming film but also to write down a reason why all the DC haters should join the DC universe. After thinking about the question, the 35-year-old star inscribed a harsh barb to the fans of his studio's rival, writing "F*** Marvel".

Almost after four months,  Momoa spoke again about the incident, saying the Marvel issue was just taken out of proportion. Franchise Herald reports that the actor clarified that he did not write the foul words which made it to the news and was seen in the autographed photo. According to him, it was written by the fan who asked for his signature. This tidbit was provided by Twitter user Tron Vin (@_TronVin).

As cited by the user, Momoa reportedly said "it blew out of proportions." The tidbit states that it was only a joke between the fan and his girlfriend. "His girlfriend was a Marvel fan while he was more DC, so he asked Jason to sign "f*** Marvel" on the poster, which he did, then it came on the internet and everyone made it a big deal. Jason sai[d] it didn't came from him but from the fan who asked him to sign this."

According to the user, Momoa has even stated that he does not make personalized autographs anymore after the incident. He also reportedly expressed his admiration to Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth saying, "I love everyone. I love Marvel."

Meanwhile, Momoa's appearance as the King of Seven Seas is reportedly scheduled to premiere July 2018. But before his stand-alone film "Aquaman" hits the big screen, he is rumored to appear in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" March 25, next year alongside Grant Gustin's the Flash.
