Rise of the Tomb Raider will be hitting Microsoft's consoles later this year. The title did not make a grand reveal during the Electronic Entertainment Expo earlier this month. Nonetheless, developer, Crystal Dynamics made the perfect follow-through with 14 minutes worth of gameplay footage, showing more of Lara Croft's journey. With the exclusivity deal for the Xboxes, those on the PC and the PS4 are facing a long wait.

During the press conference of Microsoft in the E3 2015, the reveal for Rise of the Tomb Raider did not yield so much appeal as noted by Siliconera. For one thing, the video shown focused more on the dialogue, cinematics, as well as the so-called "setpieces" which are commonly used in current games. Nonetheless, fans of the franchise would know well that this title would actually have more to offer.

After the showcase of Microsoft, the game's studio proved that there is really more to Rise of the Tomb Raider as a video of 14 minutes containing new gameplay footage was shared. Basically, what was seen was Lara Croft taking in the environment she is in, where she starts to develop a plan on how she will go about this particular journey.

In a news report from AttackoftheFanBoy, the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider was explained. The Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions will be available November this year, where there is a timed exclusivity deal with Microsoft. As derived from a source on the write-up, the launch for PS4 will likely be in the Q4 of 2016. The PC version is also speculated to be around the time of release for PlayStation.

Fans that are using Microsoft's consoles will have the privilege to experience Rise of the Tomb Raider sooner, in November of 2015 to be exact. For what it's worth for those who will stick to the waiting game for the PlayStation and PC versions, there are speculations that a price drop will be applied for the 2016 release. This will place the Lara Croft adventure game down to a more affordable $40.
