For GoT fans, "Winds of Winter" is one treasure book that's just causing so much anticipation it hurts. Especially now that Game of Thrones Season 5 just closed curtains a few days back. But the more everyone's clamoring for it, the more our much-acclaimed author George R. R. Martin becomes under increasing pressure - knowing his rather sure-footed pace [which translates to snail-pace for many].  Luckily, his words should give us comfort. At the very least.

The greater question now is: Will we be seeing the sequel of his so-in-demand A Song of Ice and Fire saga before HBO's Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres? Perhaps only the pen of one of the greatest epic fantasy writer of our time in the tradition of JRR Tolkien and Harry Potter's JK Rowling.

And of course everybody wants to know the real fate of Jon Snow. And the 66-year-old author from New Jersey may have had some slip of tongue.

What is most certain right now is Martin is a most busy man. And though there is an ever-increasing pressure to finish the book his schedules reveal a very unforgiving queue of one event after the other.

As his latest LiveJournal journey reveals: "Life is impossibly busy right now. I am wrestling with the Son of Kong (that is, working on THE WINDS OF WINTER), trying to wrap up a final round of edits and revisions on the twenty-third Wild Cards book (HIGH STAKES), developing three new series concepts for HBO and Cinemax, hiring writers and directors for three short low-budget films I am hoping to produce based on some classic SF short stories (more on that in the months to come), making my way through the Hugo Packet to prepare to vote, looking forward to opening JURASSIC WORLD at the Cocteay and to hosting a ten-author special event for the release of Steve Stirling's new "Emberverse" anthology, THE CHANGE. In a week's time, we'll be flying off to Europe for long-planned appearances in Germany (Hamburg) and Sweden (Stockholm), en route to Archipelacon on the island of Aland, where I am to be the Guest of Honor..."

You see that right there just spells out for everyone how largely unavailable Mr. Martin is. So where does that leave Winds of Winter?

Good news is he is making way for the book. His latest much- publicized sacrifice: ditching San Diego Comic Con.

And it might be good to rush him. As his comment on Winds would tell: "On Tuesday, I think it's the greatest thing I've ever done," Martin details. "On Wednesday, I think it's all garbage and I should throw it all in the fire and start again."

At least it's refreshing to know HBO is set to start its GoT season 6 series by 2016. And with the New Mexico author seemingly abiding by it. The white-bearded author affirmed publishing The Winds of Winter  before season 6 of GoT airs next spring "has been important to me all along."

On the positive side of things, the author did a lapsus linguae innocuously revealing that dear Jon Snow ends up being alive after all. Yes ladies and gentleman, that should put some cheers into millions of a-waiting  Winds of Winter fans.
