June is undeniably the month for the ultimate face-off in the K-pop scene this year as fan-favorite SM boy group EXO and YG's representative global boy group BIGBANG battle it off head-to-head with their comeback.

The calm before the storm is over as the tension on the overlapping promotions of the two of the biggest K-Pop groups grew as they near the first meeting in a music show where they battle it out for the trophy.

Fans are butting heads ever since the promotional videos for the two groups were released at SBS Inkigayo and Mnet M! Countdown which had subsequently caused another set of fan wars.

After losing to BIGBANG in an Mnet poll, EXO-Ls (EXO's fanbase) dislike against the latter grew and an EXO fan previously posted a bomb threat to BIGBANG's concert in the Philippines to which the person later on apologized for, saying that the act was done on impulse.

Just recently, another alleged EXO fan expressed their hatred to the group by burning member Taeyang's photo in Instagram.

The horrible video showed the words "Die Bigbang!" while EXO's debut song "Mama" is playing in the background. The individual recorded using a lighter to set the picture on fire in a sink.

YG Choreographer Japollonia then reposted the video on her Instragram retaliating with the caption, "It's an insult not only for me but the whole YG Entertainment !! ..???????? People are soooooooo f****** crazy ???? i don't know why they hate big bang? I respect Exo, so please stop this shit people Exo & Bigbang are one."

On top of that, conflicts between the two fandoms remained to build up as Bigbang won against EXO with "Bang Bang Bang" on June 11th of Mnet's M!Countdown.

Previously, EXO won against BIGBANG and other artists nominated taking home their first trophy from Show Champion last week.

BIGBANG are undeniably the king of digital sales while EXO is monopolizing physical album sales. The criteria for winners are based on 50% digital sales score, 15% album sales score, and the rest are based on votes and social media score.

Bigbang's "Bang Bang Bang" has been well-received by the audience placing number one and its second title track "We Like 2 Party" is ranked at number two in Billboard's World's Digital Songs Chart.

VIPs (BIGBANG fanbase) who had been with BIGBANG for the past nine years till present are known among KPOP fandoms to be laid-back but the resentment by the fandom are growing with EXO's alleged fans attacking their artists on a personal level.
