The beloved "Harry Potter" series creator J.K. Rowling teased the fans with an exciting idea of taking the magical world of Hogwarts to America. Rowling has hinted the concept of American Hogwarts as she discussed the upcoming "Harry Potter" spinoff, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them".

Following the conclusion of the "Harry Potter" series back in 2011, the fans might already be missing the well-known magical school, Hogwarts. However, they do not need to worry anymore because J.K. Rowling seems to be returning another school of witchcraft and wizardry to the big screen and this time, it will be located in America.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the 49-year-old author has confirmed via Twitter the existence of an American version of Hogwarts, and it looks like the school will be featured in the forthcoming spinoff movie, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them".

The news, as per US Magazine's article, was confirmed when Rowling replied to a tweet from a fan asking the name of the "US school". Rowling then tacitly confirmed the existence saying "that information will be revealed in due course."

The subject was expanded further when a Twitter user wrote, "IS NEWT GOING TO VISIT A SCHOOL IN NEW YORK OMG YES," referring to the spinoff's lead character of magizoologist Newt Scamander, who will be portrayed by "Theory of Everything" actor Eddie Redmayne in the forthcoming big-screen adaptation.

"No, but he's going to meet people who were educated at [name] in [not New York]," Rowling answered the tweet. She also confirmed the school's relationship to Native American culture saying that "indigenous magic was important in the founding of the school". However, the author did not disclose the name of the tribes to avoid revealing the location of the so-called 'American Hogwarts'.

Fantastic Beasts, according to the Guardian, is set 70 years earlier to Harry Potter's arrival to Hogwarts. The title is said to be adapted from the freshman textbook which the Boy Who Lived uses in the first novel. The film adaptation will be helmed by the "Harry Potter" director David Yates. With Redmayne as its lead star, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them" is expected to hit theaters November 18, next year,.
