The upcoming season seven of the adult animated television series "Archer" will surely appease fans as it was confirmed recently by one of the executive producers that character Woodhouse will be returning to play a pivotal role. Meanwhile, the co-showrunner also expressed his interest for some guest appearances in the seventh season.

One of the executive producers of "Archer," Matt Thompson, has revealed in an interview with Zap2it that Woodhouse is not yet dead and will be coming back for season seven for an essential role. Thompson exclaimed that the creative team behind the hit FX show had a "big plan" for the character in the season six and will be putting those ideas in the upcoming season.

Voiced by actors George Coe (season one to four) and Roy McCrery (season five), Woodhouse raised Sterling Archer, the show's protagonist, since his boyhood.

Thompson went on to show his interest for celebrities to guest in season seven. One of them is Tom Selleck from television series "Magnum, P.I.," which starred the actor as Thomas Magnum. "I know Archer loves 'Magnum P.I.,' so I'd love to see [Tom Selleck] do something," Thompson said. He also mentioned actors Nick Kroll and Daniel Craig as his candidates to play an episode in the "Archer" season seven.

Meanwhile, during a separate interview with The Daily Beast, the co-executive producer divulged that Ray Gillette, voiced by Adam Reed himself (series creator) isn't dead yet. He said that the gay intelligence analyst is just messed up but hasn't met his demise.

Thompson and his co-executive producer Reed are currently in contemplation to collect some ideas for the new episodes in the next season. Reed is walking through the South of France for 30 days, as he traditionally does when a season ends, TDB reported last month.

The production company FX recently changed the name of the protagonists' team ISIS to CIA in order to avoid connections to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, which bears the same acronym.

What are your insights for the upcoming season of "Archer"? Season seven returns sometime next year on FX.
