"Duck Dynasty" Season 8 has failed to air on May 14 as A&E has initially announced, leaving fans extremely disappointed that the family-favorite series could not return on the said date.

It is unclear whether the company has really canceled the show for good or has just postponed its premiere back into the small screen due to renewal matters with the Robertson family.

However, "Duck Dynasty's" Official Facebook Page responded to fans questions in regard to the show's season eight that the comeback is affirmative although no date has been finalized yet.

The viewers are anticipating the next installment as the story picks up from the season seven finale entitled "Sweet Home Louisiana" which has ended with the family's health crisis concerning Jep who has had a threat in his health. Previously, he had a seizure while on a hunting trip and then was hospitalized.

In addition, there most likely will be a new development with Jep and Jessica's relationship as the two have had moments featured in the said finale. The fans already had a deeper connection with Jep while his emotional story played out in the last season.

As the fans have lamented, there is still a lot to see in season eight making the postponement very hard to swallow.

Hopefully, as the official page has been teasing to the fans, the next release date will come very soon. Although the question whether the show will still continue after this season has seemingly gotten an answer as Alan Robertson, the family's oldest son, said in a statement that they have signed the contract through 2015 but that they did not know if the show will still air after that.

The future of "Duck Dynasty" has started becoming vague when its ratings rerouted down since two years ago.

The cause of the decline has rooted to the controversies it faced in the past involving Phil Robertson and its alleged inclinations to Christianity that other viewers find hypocritical. Its musical venture "Duck Commander, " despite earning mostly positive reviews from critics, received low number of audiences at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas ultimately leading it to quick halt.

Similarly, "Duck Dynasty" Season 8 ratings will determine whether or not life will blow for the continuation of the series -in case A&E has not yet cancelled the airing of the show.
