Aquaman's finally getting a movie in 2018, but Aquaman almost made it to the big screen before. Well, sort of- as a part of HBO's Entourage, a major storyline involved the Entourage guys making an Aquaman movie, starring Vincent Chase (played by Adrian Grenier) and directed by legendary blockbuster filmmaker James Cameron.

So with the Entourage movie nearly in theaters, the cast took the time to throw a few barbs at Jason Momoa and his upcoming (and not made-up) Aquaman film. Star Jerry Ferrara had this to say: "Obviously I have to say Vincent Chase out of loyalty. I think, at least, Adrian Grenier should have some form of a cameo [in Batman v Superman]. Even just pop him in a scene for the diehard [Entourage] fans."

According to Kevin Connolly: "I'm going to go with Vincent Chase, he's a more fluid swimmer."

Adrian Grenier had the same thought: "I would certainly be a little bit more fluid ... I think I'm more of like a dolphin and he's more of like a whale."

Meanwhile, Doug Ellin, who created Entourage (and is directing the upcoming movie) kept things as vague as possible). "Jason will be great," he said, and kept it at that. Think Jason Momoa will respond? Or will he be too busy swimming the seas, telepathically communicating with fish and hanging out with the Justice League? An Entourage cameo might be a fun twist, actually.

Momoa also spoke about the story of the upcoming Aquaman movie- that the film will stick to Aquaman's traditional comic backstory, but will also add in a few major twists. "The whole mythology of Aquaman is pretty amazing. There's so many things to tell, and there's a whole backstory that's just amazing. There's a lot of surprises coming. I think, yeah, he's been cast aside. But, um [laughs] times are going to change now, buddy. What's great about this is Zack, man. We don't want to just reinvent it, but he's got a whole idea of what Aquaman should be and I'm really honored to be playing it. I'm excited for the world to see it."

So far, there have been no casting announcements for Aquaman (besides Momoa, obviously), but Common is rumored to be playing the Aquaman villain Black Manta. As well, Wonder Woman has begun casting, so Aquaman can't be far behind. Aquaman will finally swim into theaters on July 27, 2018.
