Even though "Warcraft" hasn't been released yet, it isn't stopping Duncan Jones from talking about the potential for a "Warcraft 2". The director insists that the 2016 blockbuster will perfectly set up the universe in which "Warcraft" will take place. Jones was originally given the responsibility of adapting one of the most popular video games ever for the big-screen back in January 2013. The film will revolve around the first encounters between the orcs and the humans, and it will focus on members of The Alliance and The Horde.

The director has brought together a rather stellar cast to join him for the blockbuster. In fact "Warcraft" possesses one of the most impressive, young casting in recent memory. The always impressive Ben Foster will be on the side of The Alliance alongside Dominic Cooper, Travis Fimmel, and Ben Schnetzer, while Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky and Clancy Brown are playing the orcish members of The Horde.

The filmmaker, who is the son of David Bowie, has reportedly been given a rather modest budget of just over $100 million for creating his universe. In blockbuster cinema terms, this isn't really a lot. "Warcraft" actually finished its 123 day, motion-capture-filled shoot back in May 2014. In fact, Jones is now working on its post-production process, which needs to be completed before the film releases on June 10, 2016.

Looks like the director who has films like "Moon" and "Source Code" to his credit loves every minute of his mammoth post-production job for "Warcraft". Though it is certainly a long time to be working on a blockbuster, and it must be a challenge to work with limited resources. Nearly after a year of post-production, an excited Jones tweeted the first picture, form "Warcraft". Industrial Light & Magic created the character by merging concept art from the original World of Warcraft games with photographs and scans of Kazinsky.

"We've gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies. We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely," Jones said. Legendary Pictures is expecting this origin tale to be the first of many instalments in a series. Jones didn't say much regarding "Warcraft 2" other than, if one is required; there are plenty of other stories to tell. This is hardly a surprise given the dense mythology that has long been established through the long-running video games franchise.

Gaming enthusiast will definitely look forward to both the "Warcraft" and the potential "Warcraft 2" movie sequel. For now, they can all enjoy the gaming experience of the World of War Craft in a visiually captivating movie in the big screens.
