Tinker Bell Live -Action entitled "Tink" has returned with a new twist. Reese Witherspoon is the new lead actress replacing Elizabeth Banks from "Pitch Perfect."

Banks previously compared the plot to "Elf" and said that the movie would be about Tinker Bell getting thrown out of Never Never Land and being in a variety of adventures along the way.

With the casting of Witherspoon, it seems that the story written by Elizabeth Wright Shapiro and Marti Noxon has also been changed following the success of "Maleficent" that starred Angelina Jolie, earning a huge $758.4 million in the worldwide box office.

Victoria Strouse, who penned upcoming "Finding Nemo" sequel "Finding Dory," is writing the new script for "Tink." Speculations reveal that the story will take place "in the vein of Maleficent" although on how exactly it connects to the box office hit is still unknown.

Disney is still keeping almost everything about the movie a secret to the public as to date, but to quench the thirst of the curious ears, the movie is said to be offering an alternative "Peter Pan" timeline with "the story you don't know" which is unhelpful to be quite honest.

The character that Witherspoon is going to take is known for being mischievous and vindictive, especially when given reason to be jealous, but has also engaged in selfless acts such as drinking Peter's poisoned medicine in order to save his life.

The casting of Reese Witherspoon looks like a good idea as it has earned nods of approval from the usually pessimistic comments available online. Having been nominated in an Oscar this year for her role in true-life drama "Wild" and more recently starred in action comedy "Hot Pursuit" puts the avid fans of "Peter Pan" and "Tinker Bell" at ease that Witherspoon's versatility in her acting will not let the character down in vain.

One of the factors known yet that can affect the movie's success, and possibly its future in the box office, is the midrange budget that is said to be lower than "Maleficent." The latter had a $180 million budget for production but it was all worth it as the return investment rolled in great folds.

The quality of the movie, though, is going to rely mostly to the ability of the director. Tinker Bell Live -Action "Tink" just has to hire that someone who, additionally, can make the most of a movie with low in funds.
