FX found another hit series created by Kurt Sutter, who successfully concluded "Sons of Anarchy" last year and under the network as well. This time, Sutter is working on the period drama "The Bastard Executioner" that will star Katey Sagal, a "Sons of Anarchy" alum, and "True Blood's" Stephen Moyer.

"The Bastard Executioner" centers on the life of a warrior knight for King Edward I, who is running from the violence brought by battles. But instead of getting away from it, he is forced to become an executioner and own the bloodiest sword.

The period drama stars Lee Jones, as the warrior knight, and he will be joined by "Sons of Anarchy" star Katey Sagal and "True Blood's" Stephen Moyer.

Katey Sagal will once again work with Kurt Sutter after starring as Gemma Teller, the dangerous matriarch, on Stutter's hit crime drama which ended its seven-season run in 2014. Meanwhile, "True Blood" will see a very familiar face in the new FX series as Stephen Moyer returns on the small screen in yet another gory role.

FX decided to give "The Bastard Executioner" a 10-episode run after the show's pilot wrapped up its filming in Wales. FX Networks CEO John Landgraf expressed his admiration towards Sutter's works, making it an easy decision to air his new series in their network.

"From his important contributions to "The Shield" to his epic run on "Sons Of Anarchy," Kurt has been one of FX's most visionary artists, and we are proud to get him back on the air so soon after the unquestionable success of Sons," Landgraf.

FX gave "The Bastard Executioner" a fall release, marking Kurt Stutter's return in the network. The new period drama tells the story of a knight warrior escaping the violence of battles. Lee Jones will be joined by "Sons of Anarchy's" Katey Sagal and "True Blood's" Stephen Moyer in a series that will display Stutter's trademark: blood.
