Prometheus 2 is creating more and more hype from fans and critics alike and we have compiled recent updates this most awaited sequel. Director Ridley Scott who also directed the first installment of the movie revealed some details regarding the upcoming installment of the movie.

Recently, Scott expressed his desire to stay away from the "gods and dragons" motif that the fans are expecting from the movie; in addition he also stated that fans could expect a new kind of extraterrestrial life to appear in the upcoming sequel of Prometheus expressing his desire to create something more real and scary than the ones in the previous movie.

Meanwhile the lead actors of the show, Michael Fassbender who plays the role of David Shaw and Noomi Rapace who plays the role of Elizabeth Shaw are both contacted and confirmed to be back for the sequel of the movie. According to reports Prometheus 2 might have location as its shotting location. 

Prometheus 2's script according Scott has been written and the team is still developing the whole concept and look of the movie. Michael Green is confirmed to rewrite the story of the movie, Green is best known for his works the Green Lantern (2011) and Everwood (2002)

Prometheus revolves around the story of a team and their journey across the universe to find a structure on a distant planet containing a monolithic statue of a humanoid head and stone cylinders of alien blood only to find out that they are not the only one on this quest

Rumors about the movie has been circulating the internet lately and one of those is that at first the film was decided to become a prequel but instead become the sequel of the Prometheus after the film makers changed their minds.

Second is that the upcoming sequel will be named Prometheus 2: Hell on Earth and that there will be a new planet named "Paradise" in which engineers will work.

Third and last is that the movie's primary setting is Earth but as movie goes on the engineers will start to realize that they are receiving commands not from authorities but from some unknown powers.

Prometheus 2 is set to be release in the United States by Mach 4, 2016.
