NBA 2K16 will be coming out late this year as Take Two Interactive, which holds 2k among other game publishers, has announced their financially successful performance during the past year. The basketball simulation will only be one of the triple-A titles gamers will be looking forward to.

In a recent report, Take Two Interactive said to their investors, "Our strong fourth quarter revenues and better-than-expected Non-GAAP profits marked an outstanding close to one of our company's best years ever." The CEO of the firm, Strauss Zelnick remarks how NBA 2K15 was a huge contribution to this achievement, along with Grand Theft Auto V. It should be noted that Rockstar Games is also part of this parent company.

The CEO continues with Take Two's achievements, saying that they "added an exciting new franchise with the successful release of Evolve; and achieved record digitally-delivered revenue, including our highest-ever revenues from recurrent consumer spending. Our business generated significant cash flow and, as a result, we ended the fiscal year with $1.1 billion in cash and short-term investments."

An exact release date for NBA 2K16 hasn't been revealed yet, but a window already has. Another report on the game says that it will be out in Q4 of 2015. This is likely as WWE 2K16 already had a recent announcement that it will be coming out on October 27, and will be playable in both older and newer generation consoles.

Another thing to note about the basketball video game is that it is already available for pre-order in the UK. The 2K office of the said country made the following post on Twitter, "Our #BallinBuddies @ShopToNet (from downtown) are shattering the backboard with the first pre-order of #NBA2K16!" It is priced around £48.85.

NBA 2K16 will require a little more patience from fans, though they should hope for an exact release date and more specific details on gameplay to come out soon.

In the meantime, locker codes for 2K15 have recently come out, so this could be something players can be busy with at this time.
