After being new parents to their daughter Esmeralda Amanda, are Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling planning to take it a step further?

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling  has always been private when it comes to their relationship. Reports say that they didn't even say anything about Mendes' pregnancy until she gave birth to their baby girl in Los Angeles. They are reportedly enjoying their time being new parents to their little one as of the moment. Gosling even reportedly had a tattoo of his daughter's name on his knuckles. The name "Esmeralda" came from the character with the same name from Victor Hugo's novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, who Gosling and Mendes both loved.

But reports also say that the couple are engaged and is secretly planning for a wedding. Reports came out saying that Gosling finally proposed to the mother of his child. "Ryan has really stepped up in the past few months. He totally surprised Eva when he proposed. He told her he's never been so happy and that although they had both said marriage wasn't important, he wanted to make it official for their child. Of course, she said yes" a source said in a report.

Mendes was also reported to have been preparing for the wedding. Reports said that Mendes already has a wedding gown design in mind, and that she reportedly wants 10 carat ring for her engagement. Aside from that, she was recently interview for a show, wherein she was asked about her style secret, to which she replied "  "Sweatpants, no, no, no. You can't do sweatpants. No. Ladies, number one cause of divorce in America is sweatpants!" which infuriated netizens. She was later defended by Gosling who said that what she said was just a joke. Reports however, took it as a hint about their relationship; that the couple is indeed preparing for a wedding and they're just keeping it silent just like how they kept quiet during Mendes' pregnancy.

Mendes and Gosling started dating in 2011, and Mendes gave birth to their first child last September 2014.
