Sony Xperia Z5 release date rumors are already floating around in tech circles in the face of the announcement that the Z4 will only be released in Sony's home country, Japan.  The new Sony flagship smartphone is also expected to sport a design lifted from the Sony BRAVIA television sets.

The Sony Experia Z5 review site pegs the release of the new Sony flagship smartphone in September following the Sony Xperia timeline of September and March releases. It recalls Sony launched the Sony Xperia Z1 in September 2013, the Z2 in March 2014, the Z3 in September 2014, and more recently the Z4 in March 2015. The site was quick to add however that a later release for the Z5 would be "not in shock, if the company makes it a little late to grow the audience a little more in crave."

The site also teased its concept of the Z5 as a better smartphone than its predecessors with its new design and powerful specs including a Qualcomm 64 bit Octa core processor with 3.2 GHz clock per cycle, a 4GB RAM, 128 GB storage capacity, and a 4500 mAh battery with fast charging. The new Xperia is anticipated to have a 5.5 inch screen and a 4K ultra HD display resolution, a 30 MP primary camera with G+ sensors and a 10 MP front camera with face detection. The Z5 will feature an upgraded Touch ID button, multiple sensors and slots. The more notable features according to the site would also have the finger print sensors, retina scanner, and gravity sensors.

Some speculations however mark October 2015 as the release date of the new Sony flagship smartphone based on a reported notice from Sony that it will release its new devices in the fourth quarter of the year.  Still other rumors predict an early 2016 release if the Snapdragon 820 chipset is not available in time for the release of the Z5-series.

As per the new Xperia look, a Vine Report story cites Android Origin sources saying the design aesthetics of the Z5 will be inspired by the Sony Bravia TV sets.

"According to our source, Sony will be making a number of major changes to the design with the Z5 and the end result will be very different from anything we have seen earlier on an Xperia device. The design is said to draw heavily from the company's recent BRAVIA television sets and will feature a completely clean front end with a frosted glass effect," Android Origin reported.

Sony Xperia Z5 is estimated to be priced at around USD $1000, a little high compared to other high-end Apple and Galaxy smartphones.
