After its major appearance at Texas Showdown this weekend, Tekken 7 will also be making its way to the Combo Breaker tournament in Chicago being held on May 22nd until May 24th.

Texas Showdown got an updated version of Tekken 7 which include the likes of Jin, Devil Jin, Josie Rizal & Gigas, the four new characters that have been added to the game. The arcade version originally launched with 20 playable characters and now, there are 24 playable characters in the brawler game.

The arcade version of Tekken 7 has been around for several months now that Mark "MarkMan" Julio and the Mad Catz crew have been traveling to various events like Final Round, NorCal Regionals, and just this weekend at Texas Showdown to promote the game to North American fans.

According to reports, Julio revealed last week that in Texas Showdown, Tekken 7 is in its most up-to-date version, which means that recent roster additions like Jin Kazama, Devil Jin, Josie Rizal, and Gigas will be playable. It is not confirmed, though, if Yoshimitsu's character is playable at Texas Showdown. But it makes sense if Yoshimitsu is not part of the roster at the said tournament as his character is only available starting today in Japanese arcades.

This July will be the EVO 2015, where more announcements about latest title in the series will be given. Gamers hope to hear about the Tekken 7 release date for Xbox One, PS4 and perhaps PC on or before this point.

Just recently, the legendary fighting swordsman Yoshimitsu who is joining the roster of Tekken 7 is getting a weird new appearance who now looks like partly alien and partly octopus.

Yoshimitsu's design has always been more interesting looking in the Tekken and Soulcalibur series, but now he got the weirdest look but with the same core move set with his signature move hopping in the tip of his sword.

In the past he's appeared as a ninja-samurai-beetle-alien-ghost-demon-kabuki thing, as different characters have taken on the Yoshimitsu persona and Bandai Namco has played around with his look.

Tekken 7 is confirmed to hit PS4, Xbox One and rumored to release on Windows PC as well. The game is currently available in Japanese arcades, however, official announcement from Bandai Namco has to been made yet for the gaming console launch.
