Beauty and the Beast Live Action Update: Emma Watson 'terrified of singing'? Will film adaptation be faithful to the classic?

Beauty and the Beast live-action film is already shaping up to be one magical film in the making. The live-action adaptation of the beloved classic has already become one of the most highly anticipated films since its announcement.

Fans of the classic Beauty and the Beast tale are already anticipating that the live-action adaptation will be a guaranteed hit. Emma Watson will be taking the lead playing the beautiful dreamer Belle who will discover that 'beauty is found within' in the likes of a mysterious beast played by Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens.

The latest Beauty and the Beast film updates have reported that "Perks of being a Wallflower" writer Stephen Chbosky will be slated into the film project. Chbosky has earned praise for his 2005 film adaptation of the Broadway rock musical Rent. It will be interesting to see what Chbosky has in store for the beloved 1991 animated film.

The Beauty and the Beast live action movie includes a stellar cast in the likes of Ian McKellen as Cogsoworth, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Luke Evans as Gaston, and Josh Gad as Le Fou. Following the celebrated success of the live-action adaptation of yet another classic, Cinderella the upcoming film will 'remain faithful' to the celebrated classic.

Emma Watson had earlier admitted during an interview that it she found the prospect of singing on camera to be 'terrifying.'

"I sing, so that's really unexpected. I've never had to do that for a film role before, and I think people will be interested to see me do something very different like that."  Emma Watson said.

"It gives me a different challenge, really. That's terrifying in and of itself." she added.

The actress also couldn't help but be excited over landing the coveted role of Belle, saying that Beauty and the Beast was 'such a huge part of her growing up.'

Beauty and the Beast will feature familiar songs from the film and will also include a few songs from the musical, including "Home" and "If I Can't Love Her."

The film is set for a current release on March 17, 2017.
