SM Entertainment has already denied reports that Tao is about to leave EXO just like former members Luhan and Kris. Tao is neither denying nor confirming reports about the reports and chose to celebrate his birthday together with fans in China. Meanwhile, another EXO member is rumored, or rather confirmed to be leaving the group.

EXO's Tao is set to attend a birthday party celebration prepared by his fans in Beijing China. He will be celebrating with his Chinese fans after being involved in a basketball accident with a fellow K-pop artist. The Chinese fan club Precious Tao Bar organized a celebration for Tao's 22nd birthday celebration this May 2, 2015. Tao was initially rumored to be leaving the group after his father posted a letter online expressing his intentions to bring his son back to China to treat his injuries.

"In a period of three years, Tao has received large and small injuries. Lower back injuries, physical injuries, leg injuries - there are too many to count," Tao's father shared. "Every time Tao rose to the stage, I was worried that his past injuries would become more severe. After Tao got injured, I could do nothing but bring him back to China for treatment. There is nothing more important to a parent than the health of his child. The first priority in our family right now is the health of our son Tao and peace." Tao's father further explained.

SM Entertainment claims that the company is busy making ends meet and settle issues with Tao's father. Nonetheless, Tao remains to be a member of the K-pop group.

EXO's Lay on the other hand is creating history for being the first artist to be allowed by SM Entertainment to create a company in China and decide on the projects that he will take. SM Entertainment announced early April that it will help EXO's Chinese member Lay in setting up his own company in China as well as manage his activities there as well. Lays's company started its operation last March and independently manages his shows and guesting in China.  Luckily, Lay remains to be an artist with SM Entertainment and will continue to be part of the EXO group. He happens to be the first artist under SM Entertainment to be able to enjoy such privilege since its 26 years of existence.

Meanwhile, EXO continues to gain back its popularity after the success of the group's recently released single "Call Me Baby." The single is part of their comeback album EXODUS and is now making it big in the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 as well as the Billboard 200.

Tao will definitely enjoy his birthday together with his fans despite the negative reports surrounding his spot on the EXO group. Lay on the other hand is looking forward to a bright career in China even without the EXO group behind his back. Luhan and Kris were the first two members of the boy band to leave the group.
