Is getting Married at First Sight working out at all for the "experimental couples?"

The Season 2 "Adjusting to Married Life" episode begins to tackle this question as the six individuals who married spouses they met for the first time at the altar face the realities of life after the wedding.

An Episode 8 promo video released by A&E showed a tense bed scene between couple Sean Varrichio and Davina Kuller as Sean admits he is "still not really adjusting to the intensity of the process."

Ryan De Nino and Jessica Castro quarrel like an old couple who don't like each other and Jessica blurts out Ryan was actually a stranger to her.

Seemingly already-in-love couple Ryan Ranellone and Jacklyn Methuen hit a rough patch as Jacklyn accuses Ryan of not believing their relationship will work out and not being emotionally involved. In an earlier episode, the couple had a New Year's Day disagreement about their readiness to have children. "I don't know if her personality is something I can handle," confesses Ryan Ranellone.

Reviewers say the episode will have the couples leaving the honeymoon phase and get into the tension and drama of marriage life, with the added baggage of not having enough time to work on their relationships before actually getting married.

The first seven episodes of the current season saw the couples enjoying the romance, the wedding, the honeymoon, being a couple during the holidays and the New Year celebrations.

The next two episodes, going by their episode titles, are expected to lift the romantic veil off and show the newlyweds what it takes to be married.

TV Guide teases that Episode 9 in the series is aptly titled "Conflict" as the adjustments lead to disagreements that could break up the marriages.

Married at First Sight Season 2 goes on the air Tuesdays at 9pm on A&E and FYI.tv.
