Evidently, American Idol has been on TV more than The Voice. However, there is still an ongoing debate on which one is better. These two singing reality TV shows are fighting for an invisible title, 'Which One is Better'. In this post, let's see which one deserves this.

According to one source, more than 80% of the viewers believe that The Voice is better than American Idol. They say that The Voice promotes singing more which is reflected in the blind auditions. The judges really base their initial decision on how the contestants sound. While for American Idol, they are looking for star-material contenders even with a not-so-pleasing voice.

Of course, there are some who believe that American Idol is more focused on the contestants rather than the judges. While both shows have equally popular judges, American Idol supporters think that The Voice usually magnifies the judges instead of the contestants. Plus, it is evident that American Idol has produced more singers or stars which can be heard until now. Well, Kelly Clarkson is an obvious example. Even after more than a decade, she can still make hits.

In one of the past interviews, Pharrell Williams defended that The Voice objective is to show raw talents. Perhaps, that is the exact reason they are not able to produce stars like what American Idol does.

But it is evident that American Idol is being threatened by The Voice. If you must know, American Idol had its show reformatted. They need to add more flavor to their show. I mean, while the format is good for some supporters, it can get pretty predictable. Of course, the audience will resort to fresher and more creative TV shows like The Voice.

With the above, do you think that we should compare American Idol and The Voice considering that they have different formats and different objectives? Let us know your thoughts.
