Blade Runner 2 Updates: Ryan Gosling shares a lead role with Harrison Ford, replaces original female protagonist?

For a long time, the rumor was that Blade Runner 2 will have a female protagonist- but, given the Gosling news, it sounds as though that's either no longer the case or Gosling is up to sharing leading duties with the movie's actual protagonist.  

Ryan Gosling is in arrangements to star in Alcon Entertainment's spin-off of Blade Runner, the film that will be coordinated by Prisoners helmer Denis Villeneuve. Ridley Scott, who coordinated the first excellent in light of the Philip K. Dick novel, is on board as official maker. Harrison Ford, who featured in the first film, repeats his part as replicant seeker Rick Deckard. Taking advantage of what is viewed as consecrated ground is dangerous

Gosling, who once worked fundamentally in the non mainstream space, is by all accounts striving for standard fame. Among the undertakings he's enrolled in is Guillermo del Toro's The Haunted Mansion. He likewise is hovering with Emma Stone the Damien Chazelle-coordinated Lionsgate pic La Land and next will be seen in Shane Black's The Nice Guys inverse Russell Crowe and in Terrence Malick's Weightless. He is underway on The Big Short, featuring inverse Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Steve Carell.

Over the past decade and half, Gosling has built himself an enviable career in indies and grown-up dramas. Blade Runner 2 is arguably the closest he's come yet to the kind of big-budget franchise films that have launched many of his colleagues. 

Alcon Entertainment procured the prequel and spin-off film, TV and subordinate establishment rights to the famous sci-fi thriller Blade Runner in 2011 from makers Bud Yorkin and Cynthia Sikes Yorkin, who will serve as makers on the spin-off along Alcon Entertainment prime supporters and co-CEO's Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Straight to the point Giustra and Tim Gamble, CEO's of Thunderbird Films, will serve as official makers.

Gosling has been accepting a great deal of reactions about him playing Blade Runner well as it was viewed as an enormous hit film among its rivals.

Among its numerous qualifications, BLADE RUNNER has been singled out as one of the best motion pictures ever by multitudinous surveys and media outlets, and overwhelmingly as the best sci-fi film ever by a dominant part of sort productions.

Sharpened steel runner was chosen for safeguarding in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "socially, truly, or stylishly huge." Blade Runner 2 was chosen for protection in the United States National Film Registry in 1993 and is oftentimes taught in college courses. In 2007, it was named the 2nd most outwardly compelling film ever by the Visual Effects Society.
