The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair will be out in 2016, Liam Neeson and Tilda Swinton back for more

It has officially been reported that the C.S. Lewis & Co. and the Mark Gordon Co. have entered into a deal to jointly develop and produce The Chronicles of Narnia:The Silver Chair. This is the fourth book in a series of seven books by C.S. Lewis.

The Chronicles of Narnia series has enjoyed tremendous success in the box office. It is a high fantasy novel whose target demographic is the young audience. Critics complain that the movies cannot be fully appreciated by adults as it caters too much to the young people. This series may not be for everybody yet people keep coming back for more. The first three movies have amassed over $1.5 billion so it's easy to understand why they keep making movies about Narnia. It's really difficult to blame them when they're laughing all the way to the bank.

To top it off, they hired David Magee to pen the script. He wrote the hugely successful Life of Pi and was an Academy Award nominee for Finding Neverland. Mr. Magee had this to say  to The Hollywood Reporter:

"I have always loved The Chronicles of Narnia, and I endlessly imagined myself finding my own passage into Narnia someday. All these years later, I'm getting to fulfill that wish just a little bit by writing the film adaptation of The Silver Chair and could not be more excited about it."

The Chronicles of Narnia is expected to enjoy the same success as the previous three movies if not more. Notable actors like Liam Neeson and Tilda Swinton will be back to reprise their roles as the Lion and the witch respectively. Those two names alone can carry a movie. It will not be out until 2016 but production has already started and the fans couldn't be more excited.
