Following the unremitting success of Samsung's Z1 release, reports circulated that its successor has been in the lab and is said to come out anytime soon.

According to news reports, Samsung Z2 will be powered by a Tizen operating system. Z2 will reportedly feature a 32-bit quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 2000mAh battery.

Earlier reports have surfaced already that the device will sport a 540 x 960 PLS TFT-LCD display, and will come out before the first half of 2015 ends alongside the new Tizen 3.0 user interface. Tizen 3.0 UI is described to have similarities with Samsung's SUHD TV user interface.

The device will also introduce a new HTML file type and greater flexibility for various platforms such as C++, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery mobile and EPL.

Meanwhile, its Tizen OS has been attributed a huge factor in the sales of the phone that it is predicted to be a new Android competitor. Nevertheless, as per Tizen users comments on a site, they want Samsung to include some Android apps that Tizen does not have.

The mid-range Samsung Z1 smartphone has been received well in India and Bangladesh due to its affordability. It was released in India on January 14 and was followed in Bangladesh on February 3.

Samsung has sold over 100,000 units of the Z1 smartphone in these countries alone, 20,000 on the first days of launch in India. However, some users found out that the app store of the device does not have an updated software apps available.

Another Samsung product, probably called Tizen smartphone, is also rumored in the works which will be available in key markets including the United States, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Russia, France and some European nations.

According to reports, the global Tizen smartphone will rock a 4.8-inch display with 1280 x 720 HD Super AMOLED S-Stripe screen, and an 8MP rear camera. It will be packed with a 2GB of RAM, 2600mAh battery. Its Tizen store will be globally unlocked as per report.

The South Korean tech titan however has not released any official statement confirming the rumors.
