The Xbox One just saw a major price drop- if you've been thinking about buying Microsoft's latest Xbox console, now would be the time to do it. It's very cheap right now. According to DigitalTrends, the Xbox One originally sold for $500 in the US when it was first launched, and £430 in the UK. By today's standards, however, the console's price has dropped dramatically- it was first cut to £330 a little while ago, and now an Xbox One is as cheap as £300.

According to an official statement from Microsoft, the price cuts are for the UK only: "This is a UK-only retail promotion and offers great value for fans looking to buy an Xbox One ahead of the launch of 2015's highly-anticipated games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Batman: Arkham Knight, along with Xbox exclusives such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians." However, Tech Times speculates that this might not be the case, and that the price cuts could be vastly expanded from the state they're currently in.

And while that makes the Xbox One very cheap, here's something that will make it even cheaper. Accoring to CNET, trading in an old Xbox 360 or PS3 will give customers $125 off the purchase of an Xbox One. The console's becoming ridiculously cheap at this point- and it's long been rumored that Microsoft's aggressive price cuts were an attempt to fight the very strong sales of their competitor, the Playstation 4. Hopefully with prices this low, Microsoft can score a win against Sony.

Tech Times also reports that the Xbox One has just gained a major upgrade- the ability to stream live TV. According to their reports, TV watchers can now run their TV feed through their Xbox One, thanks to the help of a service called Hauppauge.
