"Pee Wee's Big Holiday", the newest Pee Wee Herman film from Paul Reubens, just took a bizarre turn. The film's just begun announcing its cast, and to be honest, we did expect a few big names to attach themselves to the film (famous Pee Wee Herman fans, most likely). But "Magic Mike's" Joe Maganiello? Never would have seen that coming.

And yet that's what happened. Via OUT, we know that Manganiello's officially joined the film. Here's what was originally revealed, via Pee Wee Herman's official website:

"Joe's already my friend in real life- and he's  tremendously talented and a terrific person! I am so glad we are FINALLY going to get to work together! This totally makes up for being cut out of "Magic Mike" and "Magic Mike 2"!"

As well, Manganiello also had a statement about his joining the cast- and he sounds ridiculously excited to be a part of Pee Wee's Big Holiday.

"Paul Reubens is one of the great comic geniuses of our time. Growing up, my Saturday mornings were all about Pee-Wee Herman. I saw everything he did. I can't believe that I'm going to get to share scenes with one of the iconic figures of my childhood."

Jalopnik has also revealed another new piece of info about Pee Wee's Big Holiday- the film will feature a Fiat 600 in the film as well. Pee Wee's Big Holiday is being produced by "The 40-Year-Old" Virgin director Judd Apatow and will be directed by "Broad City's" John Lee and written by Paul Rust. Recently, it was also revealed that "True Blood's" Tara Buck will feature in the film in some capacity. Just what capacity hasn't been revealed, of course- but with Manganiello in the cast, could some kind of oddball romance develop between the two?

There's no set release date for Pee Wee's Big Holiday, but the film is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix.
