The decision to forego last-gen consoles has apparently had little effect on the development process for the highly anticipated "Mass Effect 4."

As has been the norm for "Mass Effect" developer, Bioware, the company has only released tiny scraps of news with regards to how the development of their latest game is going, but one of the new items they have revealed involves the decision to do away with providing support for last-gen consoles.

News of the upcoming game being exclusive only to current-gen consoles was revealed just recently, according to Geek Snack

Fans and industry insiders took this news to mean that the latest game would come out sooner rather than later simply because it wouldn't have to bother with the problem of figuring out how it would run on consoles with lesser hardware, but it appears not to be the case.

It also seems as though Bioware is looking to its fans to help make the newest game from the franchise the best it could possibly be.

Recently, Bioware asked their fans what new features or gameplay additions they would like to have added to the latest title from the franchise.

Fans responded with suggestions of flying shuttles, more armor, and more chances to explore, according to Latino Post.

Bioware certainly doesn't need to include any of the suggestions into the new game, but the company has certainly given their fans what they wanted in the past, and it's a good bet their latest offering will be a continuation of that trend.

One of the latest rumors surrounding the game suggests that it will be released between January and April of 2016, according to Express UK.

Industry analyst Michael Pachter was the one who predicted the game's window for release, but Bioware has offered no comment on the matter.
