Tom Clancy's The Division is slated for release this year with a brand new level of exciting realism and longer gameplay experience can be expected Xbox, PS4 and PC platforms.

According to recent interviews and spills from Ubisoft Massive's brand director Rodrigo Cortes, "The Division" will apparently feature an extremely realistic interpretation of the open-world military experience set in post-epidemic New York City. It was also claimed that the game will feature special effects real enough that New Yorkers would actually feel at home.

Cortes also shared that: "We have [made] some creative choices so [the city] works with the gameplay, but at the same time it has the same scale and level of fidelity that you would expect New York to have, from all the details [like] streets, signs, stores and what you see inside of the windows, that there's life still."

Tom Clancy's The Division release is set to showcase a long gameplay experience with a realistic map supported by enhanced graphics. The game's map size has not been revealed just yet, and the project head had reportedly declined to comment at present. However game developers claimed that a large number of map areas will be available for players' exploration over the course of the gameplay. Additionally, places such as the street and alley sections of Manhattan will be featured, together with underground tunnels.

David Polfeldt from Ubisoft Massive shared as well that "Tom Clancy's The Division" will be a "big, open, long journey for players to discover," and added that there are "many many things happening underground in New York," which will be explored by players when the map finally becomes released.

The much awaited MMO game also features New York City in a brand new light, as it will be set against a state of complete lawlessness in the midst of a serious contagion. Developers initially wanted players to experience the fear and disorder which will be one of the thrills of the game.

Additionally a source shared that "the game's weapons were also given the same attention to detail on the graphical and gameplay side. Snowdrop was used to great effect in adding small accents to each gun. As far as gameplay is concerned, Ubisoft developers had hands-on time with genuine military weapons to get a sense for how they unload. Such first-hand accounts will impact how each piece of equipment feels in the final build of the game."

This ultra-realistic game, backed up by authenticity and research, is assumed to give New Yorkers the upper hand at the game.

Tom Clancy's The DIvision release date this year has been confirmed by Ubisoft back in February on multiple platforms alongside Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Victory, all games under the belf of Ubisoft Studios.
