Dead Island 2, the brand new killer sequel to the the multi-million and best-selling game gets a new release date slated this spring! This follow-up instalment still delivers a survival experience filled with action packed bloody violence and horror. 

After releasing the original game in 2011 and Dead Island: Riptide, in 2013, Yager Development has come up with the latest installment. A news released by the game's publisher reported: "Several months after the events on Banoi, the United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine.

Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start. Combining the classic Dead Island elements of immersive close combat, action and role-playing, Dead Island 2 features crazy, never-before-seen handcrafted weapons and over-the-top characters in taking players from the iconic Golden Gate to the celebrated beachfront boardwalk of southern California''s Venice Beach."

Dead Island 2 release which was developed in Unreal Engine 4 also features characters with a different style of play, in addition to an in-depth skill system that allows the players to customize their own heroes and weapons. The game also delivers the same "seamless multiplayer for up to eight players who cooperate, compete or simply coexist in a truly social, new-gen multiplayer experience."

Surprisingly, the game will take place in California and will not be set in an island, departing from its conventional setting. According to a statement released by Deep Silver, the game's publisher, California has become " a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes, and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start."

There will be a lot of never-before-seen weapons and features, and other real life locations which will include the Golden Gate and Venice Beach. 

Dead Island 2 is the exciting sequel to Dead Island: Riptide that will be released this coming spring on Xbox One, PS4, and PC hardware.
