Netflix just broke the news that left many in cloud nine. Through their Twitter account, Netflix announced that production for House of Cards Season 4 is scheduled this summer. This is a confirmation that Season 4 is happening!

The political drama TV show will have Kevin Spacey back as Mr Underwood who will have his second term as the president of United States. On the other hand, Robin Wright will play as Mrs Underwood once more. To note, the Season 3 ended having the president go for a re-election.

The House of Cards is based on a BBC drama series with the same title. It is one of Netlix's most popular TV series since its start in the year 2013. While Netflix is not in a habit of releasing audience figures for their TV shows but all seasons of House of Cards never failed to capture the attention of several award-giving bodies. In fact in 2013, House of Cards won a total of 3 Emmy Awards which include the Outstanding Director award given to David Fincher. On the other hand, the show also garnered the Golden Globes for Wright in 2014's Best Actress in TV Series. Plus, it also won the Best Actor for Spacey provided by the Golden Globe in 2015.

Although Netflix is yet to release the date when House of Cards will be shown but speculations are saying that it will be released in spring which is similar to what happened with the last seasons. The Season 4 is one of the most anticipated series because it is likely to focus on the decision of Doug Stamper (the president's chief of staff) to kill Rachel Posner after the latter attempted to kill him and because she knows a lot of the president's secrets.

The announcement of Netflix about the House of Cards Season 4 is a confirmation that fans have another season to enjoy munching their popcorns in front of idiot box.
