Prometheus is currently under pre-production and there will be a lot of changes in the upcoming film. Compared to the first "Prometheus" movie, there will be no extra-terrestrial beings or xenomorphs and outer space scenes in the upcoming film.

It quoted Fox in saying that the first part of the story, in which the script is to be written by writers Matt Holloway and Art Marcum of Iron Man, tells how aliens came to Earth. In fact, possible sub-titles like "Hell on Earth" have come up. The third part of the movie meanwhile is entitled Paradise". Thus, the location will be set on one of the home planets of the 'Engineers' which could be the Earth. This also means that aliens are no longer the villains. Moreover, the film is said to be somehow an inspiration or revival of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Prometheus refers to the spaceship used in the film which is also the name of the Greek play about Prometheus who is bound or chained for disobeying the Gods and giving fire to the human race.

Another source tells us that Noomi Rapace's character as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, a scientist, will die in the middle part of the movie and a woman military will replace her. It says signals from the spaceship in which Noomi is in will be detected by Wayland-sponsored military that will chase it before it reaches the Earth. Aside from Noomi, Michael Fassbender still takes on the lead role for this sequel in which he portrays an android or robot named David.

Prometheus 2 is directed by Ridley Scott who is known for his sci-fi flicks such as Alien and The Andromeda Strain, The movie which will start filming this year is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2016.

Prometheus 2 this time is expected to be less of the outer space but talks more of how the outside world set foot on Earth.
