Attempts of reviving the Avatar series in cinemas are already being pushed through. Thus and "Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko's Story" is somewhat being rumored to be the possible prequel of the Avatar movie released in cinemas in 2010. Unfortunately justice was not given to the movie making it a flop in the cinemas.

Rumors of a sequel of the Avatar movie, featuring his reincarnation, Korra has been reported several times but an actual announcement about when will the movie is as well as a plot for the film has been scarce. Assumptions that an Avatar movie featuring Korra will not most likely materialize are already starting to spread.

On the contrary, a possible movie on the Avatar series is making it to headlines nowadays. Instead of a sequel, a prequel or events before the Avatar Aang was born into the world is being rumored to be the upcoming movie from Nickelodeon.

Prince Zuko is one of the arch nemeses of Aang. He was included in the last Airbender movie and turns out to still possess a kindness in his heart. Unfortunately, the Fire Nation was not quite completely good to Prince Zuko. He was branded and banished by his own father, the Fire Lord Ozai. He wandered the Earth stripped of everything trying to find redemption, to find the Avatar, an impossible task for the Avatar had already banished a century ago.

A very interesting backstory on a world without the Avatar would most likely connect with the audience rather than a futuristic sequel featuring Korra. This has a common discussion in forums and blogs.

Zuko's Story was released on May 18, 2010 and was written by Dave Roman. The plot of the story starts right after the banishment of Zuko.

Zuko's younger sister Aula will also be featured in the story. As Prince Zuko wakes up in an infirmary, he was immediately taunted by no one else but is own sister after being banished. He later on gets a ship, a crew and Iroh to come along his journey. He has started his journey to find the Avatar to get his rightful spot in the Fire Nation and in his father's heart.
