Oscar Pistorius Latest Update: Reeva Steenkamp’s killer might face murder charges; Case will now be under the higher court

Two years ago, Oscar Pistorius made headlines. It wasn't because he won another sprint. It was because he killed his stunning girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. The case became so popular around the globe not only because he was a famous athlete. Pistorius claimed that everything was not intentional as he thought his girlfriend was an intruder. As of today, what are the latest updates about Oscar Pistorius?  

Oscar Pistorius life in jail might have been the center of discussion for weeks now. However, the latest update we have is that Pistorius' camp have lost a court bid to stop the State from appealing the paralympian's culpable homicide conviction. According to reports, the case will now be under the Supreme Court. That means, there is a possibility that the famous amputee athlete will be charged with murder.

While most are happy with the news, there are still some who are convinced that Pistorius is innocent. This includes Mark Williams - Thomas, an investigative reporter who spent a lot of time with Pistorius. He said that he has seen a different side of the athlete and that he is truly devastated.

Meanwhile, it is still believed that Steenkamp's killer is still enjoying perks inside the jail. Based from our recent posts, the athlete has been given additional benefits. He can make more phone calls to his relatives. He can have physical contact with his visitors. Plus, he could wear jewelries behind bars. But with the news that he can be convicted of murder, will he still be able to have fun? Can he still play football with the other inmates?
