The "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie reboot has no official release date yet but several negative issues are starting to surround the film. Several predictions that the movie might flop, once again in the cinema resurfaces and might actually affect the potential release of the movie reboot. Lionsgate and Saban Brands on the other hand are pressured to release an official film release date for the movie.

The children series might have been a success in the television screens but definitely not on its first attempt in the big screen. The 1995 movie 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" hardly made $66 million worldwide. The second attempt two years after the first movie, "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie," made a disappointing $9.6 million worldwide. Will the movie reboot of the Power Rangers suffer with the same faith?

The Blue Range, played by Billy Cranston was so excited after hearing that Saban Brands visited the Lionsgate Studios. The production outfit known for the movies Hunger Games and the Expendables has obviously a proven track record. "I will be very excited to see what they do with the franchise," Cranston exclaimed.

But the high hopes with the Lionsgate collaboration are starting to get meek once again after a fan made video of a darker version of the Power Rangers was released online. The video definitely earned a lot of praises and fans. It was abruptly removed after complaints from Saban Brands. It was placed back online after a few restrictions from the Power Rangers brand. Is this a sign that a change of image for the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" might work and send the movie reboot into box-office records?

Lionsgate and Saban Brands on the other hand are keeping it mum up to this moment on when the reboot movie will be released. The production outfit is definitely dealing with a lot of pressure right now due to the insistent public demand of a definite date for the return of the movie.

Hopefully, a 2016 release for the movie reboot would push through.
