It has been almost 7 years since Fallout 3, and we're still at the edge of our seats when it comes to the sequel's release.

We've all heard, seen, and probably already joined in on the speculation regarding the release of Fallout 4, Bethesda's much anticipated next take on "America's First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation." And for the vault-dweller inside all of us, it's gotten pretty frustrating and confusing, especially since Bethesda announced their presence in E3 this year. This has led to the speculation being louder than ever, even though Bethesda hasn't confirmed anything yet with regards to the official release of Fallout 4 (if there is going to be a Fallout 4). Everything has been pure speculation based on rumors.

The only thing we're sure of is that whatever Bethesda is planning, it's working. The lack of information is creating even more obsession amongst the already-devoted fanbase. Here's proof:

The official change.org petition to "Announce Fallout 4" exists, and it already has 12,500 signatures and counting. It reached this number just last week. The petition was created last year by bulgarian change.org user, Silviu Ploisteanu, a dedicated fan of the series. If they hit 100,000, or even just 50,000, it's going to be impossible for Bethesda to ignore.

This shared obsession with spending time in the post-apocalyptic wasteland is alive and well, even in the world of cosplay. Check out this photo that Matt Grandstaff, the Global Community Lead for Bethesda Softworks, posted on his twitter on March 7.

Another sign of devotion to the franchise is sporting the limited edition collectible: The Vault Boy Tee of the Month, featuring Vault Boy's various incarnations throughout the series. This month's all about the Gun Nut. It's only available for a week so you better hurry if you want one. They come up with a new design every month.

As you can see, despite the lack of official news about Fallout 4, the fanbase still pretty obsessed with the franchise. Maybe their devotion will be rewarded at this year's E3, maybe not. At this point, the only thing we're sure of is this: War. War never changes.
