"High School Musical", Disney's one of the most popular hit film series have been rumored to have a fourth installment which will have the title "High School Musical 4 : The Wedding".

According to Ryan Seacrest's website, Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth) tweeted, "If you liked the first three, the fourth is going to blow your mind. #getchaheadinthegame." The article also included some details that the plot will revolve around the characters of Zac Efron (Troy Bolton) and Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez) getting married.

The two have been reported to sign up for the film franchise and joining them is Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans). The problem is, there is just one major plot twist...this one's a hoax.

Movie rumors untrue but Zac Efron is up for a "High School Musical 4"

The "High School Musical" fan base went crazy about the movie rumor but they we're not able to read the last line of the article which said, "*April Fools! The above story is just a fun fabrication ... hope you had a good laugh with us."

Disappointed fans mourned over the hoax but you shouldn't be too sad. The "17 again" star Zac Efron expressed his interest on doing another "High School Musical film".

He said still sees "all the guys from High School Musical, every time we do - I don't know, there's just this look that's between us. We're all thinking about it." he said in a statement.  Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessie) joined the bandwagon and tweeted, "How cool would it be if the cast of #HSM came together for a reunion? Like real HS. It's almost been 5 years!" Corbin Bleu also expressed that he's in for a spin-off.
