Apple welcomes new chipsets as MacBook Pro 2015 is rumored to have Intel's latest Skylake 14Nm processors to rival Samsung. The TouchID fingerprint sensor may also be seen on the new versions of MacBook Pro.

The latest MacBook Pro 2015 rumors reveal that the new Apple offering might come equipped with Broadwell's "direct successor," the Skylake 14Nm chip, shares Motoring Crunch. According to the article, the new chip will be ready before summer, making it a very possible addition to new versions of MacBook Pro.

The article adds, "Apple has already made it clear on their desire to integrate Skylake with their future devices and if the rumours are right, the processor will be available just in time for the MacBook Pro." With Intel's Skylake, MacBook Pro will have "advanced wireless networking as well as charging."

Skylake coming to MacBook Pro will change Apple's previous 20Nm nanochips and make it catch up with Samsung, the company who holds the record for the world's first 14Nm processors.  Apart from Skylake chipsets, MacBook Pro is also rumored to sport the TouchID first seen on iPhones. As News Everyday reports, the fingerprint scanner could be added to MacBook's Magic Mouse and Desktop Mac's Magic Trackpad.

MacBook Pro is expected in June, but this date has been determined in line with the release of Intel's Broadwell chips. Another change rumored to be seen in MacBook Pro 2015 is the 3K ultra HD Retina display. Improved battery life can also be expected.

As for screen size, MacBook Pro 2015 will apparently showcase the 12-inch, 13-inch, and 15-inch models. Fans are watching out for MacBook Pro in the same media event where Apple Watch is supposed to be released.

Meanwhile, users of old MacBook Pro versions can take advantage of Apple's repair program to get rid of errors in video playback. According to Engadget, "Apple is launching a repair program that will mend your laptop for free if its graphics are going haywire." Problems with corrupted video, spontaneous reboots, and no video playback are expected to be solved by the repair program, which has been made available starting February 20 for US and Canadian users. Other countries will have to wait a week for the program to hit their shores.

MacBook Pro versions under the program are 15-inch and 17-inch models within the 2011-2013 timeframe. This includes the first two Retina models.
