Here it comes: Batman vs. Superman movie spoilers, will Green Lantern appear? Admittedly, the 2011 Green Lantern film missed to hot the jackpot of American silver screens, but the producers and writers of the comic-turned-movie, does not stop efforts of reviving the superhero.

The upcoming 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie may help their fellow superhero Green Lantern back to spotlight, making it ready for its own standalone film.

Warner Bros. and movie director Zack Snyder, were reported to plot ideas in making Green Lantern landed a role in the upcoming 2016 hero movie.

It is confirmed that Christina Wren will play the DC character, Major Carrie Farris. Recently, in an interview, the actress spoke, saying:

"My character's name is Carrie Farris; there is a character named Carol who is the Green Lantern's girlfriend and turns into this superhero, Star Sapphire. But I have no idea if that is the plan; they're not even slated to do a Green Lantern film for several years."

Although it is unclear why the actress needs to mention Star Sapphire as a superhero, since in the original series, the character assumes a villainous role.

Major Carrie Farris also named as Carol, was a businesswoman and pilot. She was the love interest of Hal Jordan of Green Lantern, but was possessed by a Star Sapphire gem making her a villain in the persona of Star Sapphire.

Star Sapphire's character has appeared in animated films and series, including "Justice League Doom" and the "Justice League" cartoon series that ran from 2001 to 2004.
