We rely on default phone settings in doing things with our smartphones. But the moment we learn tricks and shortcuts, we begin to do things a little differently - faster and more efficient particularly.

For iPhone 6 Plus users, here are some of the most simple but useful tips and tricks that you'll likely use in its lifetime.

1.Speed up charging. You can do it by setting your phone into Airplane mode. In effect, it automatically turns off all wireless connectivity which requires more power supply to run.

To do this, go to Control Center and tap the Airplane icon. Note that you leave the screen off, too, and use the appropriate charger for your device.

You can also simply turn it off to speed up charging a bit. With either of these settings mode on, you'll not be able to receive message, access the web, or make a call.

2. Shake to undo. Undo last actions like making a typo error, or sending e-mails to junk file, or accidentally deleting it by shaking your device. A message will pop-up asking if you want to undo the last action. It works on any iPhone device, but not all apps may support this feature.

3. Send Your Last Location. The biggest advantage of doing this is it allows you to track your phone when you've lost it or misplaced it.

To do this, go to Settings, and iCloud followed by Find My iPhone to activate the feature. Once it is activated, the device will automatically send your last location to Apple Center just before it runs out of battery. You can log onto your Find My iPhone account and see where you left it.

4. Scan Credit Card Option. You can now use your camera features to take a snap of your credit card when doing mobile or online payment. You need to manually input the security code for security purposes, though.

5. Siri push to talk. Pressing the homescreen activates Siri, but holding it down and releasing it only after you're done talking helps Siri immediately look up your request.

Another trick you can do to activate Siri is to just say "Hey Siri". Like the "OK Google" thing, Siri springs into action when you say those words. However, it only works when the handset is connected to a power source.
