Former IBF champion told media that if Pacquiao - Mayweather fight will pursue by May, the Filipino boxing icon will defeat Mayweather with his boxing versatility.

During an interview to the media, Shawn Porter said that he is sure that Pacquiao can give Mayweather his first taste of defeat from his list undefeated boxing career. Amid Porter's doubts to the fight if it will be pursued, he still expressed that Pacquiao is his favorite based from his own experience with the icon during their sparring before.

"For me I think that Manny is the favorite because he is a little more versatile than Floyd at this point in his career ... I think Floyd likes to use his defense and counter punch while Manny does a little bit of everything and does it from from a southpaw position. That is a great fight," Porter said.

Latin Post mentioned that though Porter said that Pacquiao will defeat Mayweather, Brandon Rios, who took a lopsided unanimous decision loss against Manny, thought otherwise. According to him, with Mayweather's 47-0 record, it would be too much for the reigning World Boxing Organization welterweight champion.

"It feels wrong for me to say this but I think Floyd beats Manny Pacquiao ... Floyd is just a very defensive fighter, he's got so many skills, he's been in so many positions and he does have that skill. I do believe Floyd beats him," Rios said in an interview with On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

For Rios, Pacquiao has already lost a step and that "killer instinct" that he has had before. Thus, he predicted that Manny will find it hard to defeat Floyd. But, on the other side, Mayweather will also find it hard to beat Pacquiao through a knockout since he knew that the pound-for-pound king is known for his powerful punch.

However, there are also rumors saying that the "superfight" between Pacquiao and Mayweather will never happen according to News. According to some, Mayweather seemed "scared to death." Even the World Boxing Organization President Francisco Valcarel has doubts about the fight to take place which was set to May 2.

"I have my doubts that the fight will take place. I don't even like to mention the fight because I'm not directly dealing with that, but reading the comments from the press, one time they say they're gonna fight and the next day they won't fight," Valcarel said.

He added, "People want to see Mayweather and Pacquiao and I want to see Mayweather and Pacquiao, but again, I'd like to tell you before, I got my doubts that that fight is going to happen."

Amid existing negotiations both from the two great fighters if they will really make the fight happen or not, the media [to broadcast] the fight have their own negotiations also. As noted by one site, Showtime and HBO negotiations are still on-going. However, with the PPV of this fight, it will surely make a huge amount of money. For that same day, as estimated, Pacquiao could even have roughly around four-fights equivalent for the entire worth of money in just one fight. Mayweather can have around 3-4 fights equivalent worth of cash if his money goes up around $150 million or not.

Many people are not anticipating this great from the two iconic boxing champions. But, doubts still overpowered the minds of the many if this "superfight" will really be possible.
