Gamestop reached out to Warner Bros. Studios to confirm if the upcoming game, "Batman: Arkham City" will be delayed after award-winning comic book writer Marv Wolfman announced  on his social media that there will be a novelization for the game and both of which were going to be released in July 2015.

Although Woflman's Facebook Page seems to be missing, Gamespot has already taken the liberty of archiving on an article what Wolfman had posted.

"Well, I can finally tell folk what I've been working on these past few months in total secrecy, even from my dog. I wrote the official novelization for Arkham Knight, based on the upcoming video game, and had a ball doing," Wolfman says.

He goes on to say that he is happy how it turned out and that, "The story is highly emotional and I'm exceedingly happy with the results. Both game and book will come out in July. I'll post the cover here once it's official."

A WB Studios representative later confirmed to Gamespot that the game will not be delayed to July and will continue to be released on June 2, 2015.

In related news, more rumors of Superman making an appearance in the game being more possible with Marv Wolfman announcing the novelization. Wolfman is best known for his works in DC comics, particularly the "Crisis of Infinite Earths" storyline with George Perez and "The New Teen Titans". Not to mention that a LexCorp building was spotted in the Ace Chemicals trailer for the game and several voice actors that have played Superman in the past were also seen on the IMDB page which was quickly removed.

Many fans are already speculating that with Rocksteady making the final game of the Arkham series, they will be making a video game series in the setting of "Batman Beyond" or even perhaps a Superman game this time around.

After many video game release dates being delayed this year, I think fans would be happy that "Batman: Arkham City" isn't doing the same.

Not to mention a potential Superman game by Rocksteady have also hyped up fans after announcing that "Arkham Knight" is their last Batman game.
