The president of the United States Barack Obama, delivered his State of the Union Speech in front of the Congress and the whole world. Being a people's president, once again, he sets to mark a milestone in the history of America. He laid out a dare for the lawmakers, valiantly touching several delicate subjects. With his purposeful speech that had everyone especially the middle-class and low-income Americans, hoping, Obama spoke about income equality as he laid out his plans for the future.

Middle-Class Economics: 'Expanding opportunity works'

According to CNN's full transcript of the president's speech, with his most determined platform yet, the president challenged he Congress:  "Will we accept an economy where only a few of us do spectacularly well, or will we commit ourselves to an economy that generates rising incomes and chances for everyone who makes the effort?" He argued that everyone must be given a chance saying, "That's what middle-class economics is - the idea that this country does best when everyone gets their fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules."

The 'Middle-Class Economics' Plan Highlights

Hollywood Life took the liberty of listing the highlights of Obama's plan to empower the low-income families and enforce the platform which will finally make income equality a reality. He offered services that most lawmakers will deem as costly but this plan will surely win him the hearts of not only the American people, but everyone all over the world.

New York Times reported that Obama promised paid leave for workers, larger tax rebates, free community college, affordable to almost no cost childcare, education and health services. Higher wages for the working American, reduction of student loan rates and a few more bold promises that if granted to reality, will take up much of the country's taxes, but will elevate the poor's state of life.

These plans are extremely attractive to almost anyone. The question is, will this plan be turned into reality or will it remain as words on the country's newspapers? We sure do hope President Obama will be the one who'll make every person's dream of having generous government benefits into actual results.
