A few more weeks to go and the hit drama inspired by real history will be back on air and avid fans cannot be more excited for the return of 'Vikings' in its Season 3. Series creator Michael Hirst shared some really juicy spoilers about the upcoming season's storyline.

In a report by Christian Post, Hirst shared that the leads will have plenty of relational issues to deal with and resolve.

Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) is going through some difficult times because of his "dysfunctional relationships." He is standing on shaky grounds in terms of his goodwill among his inner circle and Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) is among those that cause him insecurity. If we review the past season, Floki has shown a remarkable display of loyalty to the new king, but he may have not yet let go of the ill-will he has towards his old friend, wrote Christian Post

Ragnar is also slowly losing the loyalty of his son Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) as the boy matures. He's starting to withdraw emotionally from his father and sees Rollo (Clive Standed) as the father figure instead.

Hirst also revealed that the upcoming season is packed with more adventure and battle as the mighty Northernmen continue to wage battle against their nemeses.

"We keep increasing the scale as they did historically. We started with one long boat and 30 warriors attacking an isolated monastery and Paris involves 100 boats and 3,000 warriors," he said.

Here's what The Mary Sue shared about how the Season 3 of 'Viking' will proceed:

"With the promise of new land from the English, Ragnar leads his people to an uncertain fate on the shores of Wessex. King Ecbert (Linus Roache) has made many promises and it remains to be seen if he will keep them. But ever the restless wanderer, Ragnar is searching for something more ... and he finds it in the mythical city of Paris. Rumored to be impenetrable to outside forces, Ragnar and his band of Norsemen must come together to break down its walls and cement the Vikings legend in history."

So, there's really no stopping the 'Viking' from dominating the small screens again. Six more weeks and the hit drama will usher us back to the past to share a story of love, honor, and faith.
