Engaged couple Zayn Malik of One Direction and Perrie Edwards of Little Mix are the talk of the town as the two celebrated the New Year together wearing mismatched, but stunning outfits to a birthday party for Edwards' brother, Johnny.

The couple celebrated New Year at a dress up party where Edwards dressed up as Cleopatra and Malik opted to look like Edward Scissorhands. According to Sugarscape, Malik and Edwards donned the costumes for the singer's brother's birthday party.

With Malik's costume complete with scissorhands and a face full of makeup and Edwards sporting a headdress, the couple looked stunning, Mirror reports. According to the website, "While a coordinated couple outfit would have been adorable, seeing the stars with their jet-black wigs and perfectly-detailed get-ups more than makes up for it." Edwards posted a photo on Instagram with fiancé, Malik while wishing their fans a good 2015.

Despite Mirror's report of the duo sporting wigs, Edwards seemed to clarify that Malik's costume was completed by the singer's own hair, as Edwards posted Malik's photo with a caption "#NotAWig."  

Their New Year costume is not the first time the couple has dressed up. Sugarscape mentions Malik and Edwards dressing up as Jack Sparrow and Catwoman, which had been reportedly hard to top.

Fans are glued to the social media accounts of Edwards and Malik to stay in touch with the couple. It is also Instagram that sparks rumors, such as one saying Edwards is preparing for their wedding because of her post where she wore what looked like bridal dresses.

On December 30, Edwards posted a photo wearing two white dresses. KDramaStars describes, "The first is a long one that dropped to her ankles, while the other is a cute strapless mini-skirt. In one of the photos, she posed with her Pomeranian dog while puckering her lips for an imaginary kiss."

However, the article soon clarified that the dresses were not options for Edwards' wedding dress. "Perrie Edwards was just trying on the white knitted dresses handmade for her by Emma O. Clothing," KDramaStars says.
